Driven by curiosity. Driving change

Biography

Professor Kaminski Schierle leads the Molecular Neuroscience group in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology at the University of Cambridge. Her research investigates the mechanisms behind neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).

Gabriele obtained a Swiss diploma (MSc equivalent) in Biology from l’Université de Fribourg in 1996 and her PhD in Medicine from the University of Lund, Sweden in 1999.

She joined the University of Cambridge in 2001 and is a Fellow of Robinson College, Cambridge.
