Enterprise and partnerships
We work with industry, funders and external partners to translate advances in chemical engineering and biotechnology into practical solutions for sustainability and healthcare challenges.
Our research spans five broad areas in imaging science, biomedical engineering, advanced materials, energy systems and industrial processing. Through collaboration with external organisations, we help move new knowledge from fundamental research towards application.
Why work with us
We offer a collaborative environment where fundamental research and real-world application are closely connected.
- access to internationally recognised researchers working across disciplinary boundaries
- strong track record in industrial collaboration, innovation and research translation
- established partnerships with companies, public bodies and research organisations
- research focused on sustainability, healthcare and industrial innovation
How to work with us
We work with partners across sustainability, healthcare and engineering challenges. Collaborations can range from early-stage research through to technology development and application.
Collaborative research
Partner with academic teams to develop new knowledge and technologies, from fundamental science through to applied research.
